Shop Profile: Potatopatch Baby & Kids

This little shop is so cool.  Robynne at Potatopatch uses hand cut potato stamps to print playful and fun designs onto 100% cotton tee shirts.  I love the colours she chooses, and the simple whimsical images that Robynne calls forth from something as humble as a potato stamp.  At Potatopatch you’ll find tee shirts for babies and children, as well as gift sets for newborns.  Go have a look…see the magic that can be produced with the most basic of artistic tools!

Contest: VerreDesign

This week, Patricia from VerreDesign will be offering a gorgeous handmade neck piece called ”Spring”, from her new collection entitled “Muse”!   A one of a kind piece of wearable art whose colour pattern will never be duplicated.  The artistry of Patricia’s lampwork is absolutely unbelievable.   I am so in love with everything that comes out of VerreDesign’s studios that it’s difficult to choose a favourite, but if pressed, I’d have to say I absolutely love the colours in this “Happy” Bracelet,  and this “Zen” set is absolutely stunning!

“Spring” from the Muse Collection, from VerreDesign, value $50.00:

About this Piece:

Lovely whirls and swirls carefully made by hand one at the time at the torch (or lampwork). I love the softness and delicateness of this piece. It reminds me of spring and blooming lilac.

“Spring” is made of Moretti glass in lovely transparent lilac, oro boco (fuchsia) and deep purple. The whirls were simply slide onto a sterling silver snake chain (19½’’). It looks fabulous!
