This teeny, tiny handbound leather journal necklace from New PreHistory is just so cool! I cannot believe the amount of work that must go into creating such a nifty treasure!
A charming little handbound chocolate brown leather journal, miniaturized and made into wearable art jewelry! I made this little journal using reclaimed leather and recycled paper with much love and my nimble fingers. The blank journal pages are acid free archival quality heavyweight end paper in a beautiful ivory color, 80 pages total. Each page has been hand-torn for an organic touch, with a small leather wrap closure to keep your secrets secure. Details include contrasting sage green leather tie and beautiful longstitch binding in my signature double X pattern, also in the fresh sage green. Comes on an antique-finish brass chain, standard is 19 inches but chain can be customized to any length you wish!
Laura has many such goodies in her etsy shop, so go check out New PreHistory today!

I am pleased to announce this special exhibition of Bijouxbead works honouring Parkdale. Starting at $40, the collection features a limited quantity of one of a kind necklaces, bracelets and earrings combining metal, stone and glass. The colour palate includes steel, pewter and an appealing range of blues, with the necklaces named for specific landmarks that have significance in the area.
I am fascinated with Parkdale; its history, its challenges, and its reputation as a tourist destination for art, fashion and all that is cool in Toronto.
A portion of the proceeds from this exhibition will benefit PARC – Parkdale Activity Recreation Centre.
I would love to welcome you into my home and invite you to take a peek into my workspace!

These rescued and recycled hand painted record clocks from Kailey Hawthorn are absolutely fantastic! Never mind that I have an absolute weakness for Kailey’s artistic style…the fact that her fabulous clocks are all earth friendly makes them utterly awesome! Besides her clocks, you’ll find a grerat selection art, housewares and decorative items as well. Go check her shop…you’ll love it!
