This is the time of year that a glorious dose of green is just what is needed to keep the doldrums at bay, and as I flip through the StringMeAlong etsy shop I find all kinds of beautiful pieces that will carry us into the winter months!
- Gold Yields to Green: Simple elegance, combined with striking colour. Beautiful emerald and peridot greens are made richer by touches of gold. A beautiful cloisonne pendant is alive with greens and golds all melting and blending together, with golden outlines of flowers dancing within the mix. The pendant has been highlighted by one strand of peridot stone chips and two strands of gold lined green seedbeads. Just beautiful!
- Fairy Hats: Pale green and with slightly ruffled edges, the bead caps on these earrings were snatched from the chilly head of a spring flower fairy. I’m going to have lots of trouble from that small act of thievery, but I think it was worth. The bead caps are actually vintage enamel, and I have used them on a 12mm, clear, AB coated, Czech firepolished bead. With all the facets and the small smount of coating on these beads, they just shine and dance with light. Adding a little fresh spring colour are pale matte rounds in soft pink and nearly lilac. Small filigree bead caps in antique-red copper finish the earrings.
- Autumn Apple Rose: The wonderful russets of autumn’s crisped leaves, combine with the sweet, pale green of the season’s apple harvest. The three strands of this necklace are wonderfully irregular pieces of Mother of Pearl in luxurious warm brown sugar colours. The strands are a beautiful contrast to the delicate nature of the large lucite rose. The green rose is a true focal piece, meausuring 44mm x 35mm.
Wow… thank you so much, Beth!! What a pleasant surprise this was!
Always a pleasure Carol!
