Cozy Cozies from My Spare Time Designs

Possibly the only unfortunate thing about living in Canada is the fact that it’s sooooo big that you’d need a rather unlimited bank account to visit all the fabulous places I feature on IndieNorth in person.  That’s why it’s just so much fun to feature a neighbour!  These beautiful cozies are from My Spare Time Design, a sweet little website that includes all kinds of goodies, from cozy cozies, to cozy patterns, to gorgeous photographic prints.

  1. Pierrot Ruffle Scarf:  This scarf reminds me of the ruffle collars on the Perriot dolls I collected years ago….classic yet feminine.
A long wavey pattern looks great whether wrapped around the neck once, twice…even three times (depending on your size).
Or just flip an end over the shoulder, whatever your mood, this style looks great with an open collar jacket or sweater and vest.
Crocheted in two grey toned acrylic yarn, with an antique white trim (with a small percentage of wool in the yarn), these colors are great for the holiday season and beyond!  And while it looks bulky and heavy it really isn’t.
  2. Pattern for Santa Wrap Cocoon and Hat:
Are you a new or expecting parent or Grandparent and want to make something special for your anticipated holiday arrival?
This Santa cocoon and hat set is perfect for the occasion and won’t take long to create. And would be a great accessory for that first photo with Santa Claus!
  3. Blue and Green and Grey Big Hat:  It was the color of this yarn that drew me in….and it begged to be designed as something a little different…thus this “big” hat perfect as a slouch hat or one for those who sport lots of hair or who just love their caps a little looser.
It’s also perfect for those who just don’t suit those little beanie hats!
The hat fetures a beak with a complementary under color, it’s doubled up for sturdiness too.
