Stunning Illustrated Letterpress Stationary from Papillon Press

birds3

If you’re looking for some absolutely fantastic stationary for your special day, you have got to get on over to Papillon Press and have a look at all their gorgeous work!  They really said it best themselves, so I’ll just quote them here:

Papillon Press is a new illustrated letterpress stationery and invitation company based in Sudbury, Ontario. The owner, Chantal Bennett, works with her partner, Joel Kimmel, to create fine custom stationery that is first hand-drawn in pen and ink to the client’s specifications and printed on their vintage letterpress.

Their website features the custom wedding invitations they’ve created. They will soon be branching out to other types of stationery, such as birth announcements, business cards, greeting cards, other types of invitations and art prints produced by local and international artists. They also offer a letterpress printing service for customers who already have their own designs and would like them printed on a letterpress.

Chantal studied illustration at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City, while Joel graduated from the illustration program at Sheridan College. They are very inspired by turn-of-the-century illustration and also book frontispieces. Their invitations have a nostalgic and elegant look to them that is unique to Papillon Press and cannot be found elsewhere.”

“For all your Buddha loving friends, send a holiday greeting complete with a vibrantly coloured Buddha in a Snow Globe! This card is based on an original 8×8″ mixed media work on canvas (which is sold). Snow globe wisdom from the Buddha s it below the artwork: “the snow settles and what is meant to be seen is revealed” This quote is from American Buddhist teacher Sylvia Boorstein and compares our lives to a snow globe. When we’re not always stirring things up, life become clearer.”

Such a beautiful message!

Pretty Prints from Inspirations by Stella

stella

Inspirations by Stella is a lovely etsy shop filled with lots of beautiful prints, any of which would by the perfect touch to add a bit of colour to an empty wall!  The style is friendly and whimsical, with a touch of magic thrown in…so fun!

  1. Once Upon a Pony:  That’s my daughter, she loves to read. And ok, I used artistic license to give myself a nice little waistline. She always surprises me, and this would be a common occurence…my expression, not the jungle, pony, and reading elf.
  2. Winter Star of Christmas:  This illustration was inspired by my children. Christmas time everything looks more beautiful, and children are always a big part of it.
  3. Little House on the Lake:  This is the view from the big fat Greek family chalet. Imagine the quiet peaceful country home full of my mother’s amazing cooking!
