Impromptu Gallery: Shades of Blue

shadesofblue

  1. Blue Splash, Upcycled Scarf top from Tangente:  Repurposed scarf turned into a great convertible top. How eco-chic! – Can be worn as a tunic or top.
  2. Wire Wrapped Fused Glass Pendant from Wabibrook Studio:  This delightful blue fused glass pendant with a sweet little hematite flower is simply wrapped with high quality sterling silver plated wire.  The fused glass pendant was created by Cheryl Olafson of Visions in Glass. She is an amazing glass artist, and this is just one of many pieces on which we have collaborated.
  3. Tie Dyed Baby Sling, from Slingtastic Slings:  Our slings are constructed from cotton print fabrics and soft cotton flannels.  They have no padding in the edging or shoulders, making for a more snug fit around your body.  This also allows for tightening of the individual edges for easy fit around newborns and toddlers alike.
  4. Hot Mats, from Boutique Karma: These hot mats are perfect for so many uses. Throw them on the dinning room table before putting your hot/warm casserole dishes on your beautiful table top. Perfect for your under your pot of tea (or carafe of coffee).
  5. Rushes III, by Tammy Zebruck:  A new acrylic on canvas painting by Tammy Zebruck, depicting Ontario’s beautiful North. $375.00
  6. After the Rain Earrings, by String Me Along:  Like swallows darting about through the last lingering raindrops, these earrings are sure to delight.  A beautiful trio of mottled blue beads Czech fire-polished donut beads, end with a hand-patinaed (not by me) brass swallow. The swallow is beautiful turquoise blue with a black tail and black headcap.
  7. Eco Cup Cozy, Blue Ovals from Laura Bucci:  A modern/retro cup cozy for hot drinks to go!  This cozy features oval lines on cool blue, natural unbleached white and grey stripes on light blue (earthy tones). Made with a beautiful medium weight cotton/linen blend. It can be reversed to use the terracotta (reddish-brown)side.
  8. Baby Blue Blossoms Pendant from The Charm Lady Boutique:  A gorgeous square pendant featuring a delicate floral drawing on a light blue background.  Image is transferred onto white polymer clay and then baked.  Coated with a thick gloss for protection and a glass-like shine.

Ad Contest for Canadian Indies, Sponsored by IndieNorth

And now for something completely different!  ;)

I’m really enjoying all the great feedback I’ve been getting on IndieNorth ad contests, so we’re gonna do it again…BUT!  This time we’re gonna change it up a bit!

You Canadian Indie-business folks work hard, right?  It’s time for a wee little contest just for you!  This time we’re gonna play:

Sponsor Run!

*In order to enter this particular contest, you must be a Canadian running a business in Canada, and you must have a web presence.  Either a shop, or a website for instance.

To enter:

Go check out one of our fabulous sponsors, listed in the sidebar to the far right, and come back here and comment about which shop you visited, and what tickled your fancy!

You can enter once each day, but you must visit a different sponsor for each entry!

For Extra Entries, once per day, you can:

  1. Follow IndieNorth on Twitter:  http://www.twitter.com/indienorth
  2. Twitter about the contest (one entry per day, please make sure you @ me, and comment here)

what’s the prize”, you ask?

There will be two levels of prizes…

One Static Spot that will appear every time a visitor comes to IndieNorth, in random order, in the right sidebar

Three Rotating Spots will rotate with others in the same section at the bottom of the right sidebar.

So please, please, please spread the word about this contest…I really think it will be a fun way to get the word around about all the fabulous Canadian talent out there!

The not so fine print…winners will be contacted on Monday July 3rd via the e-mail address they provide, and will have 48 hours to provide me with a 125 pixel banner.  If I don’t receive the banner ad by the end of 48 hours, I’ll have to choose a new winner.

Good luck, and please, twitter, facepook, plurk and post about this contest!  Let’s make it a biggie!

And the winner of the gorgeous necklace from String Me Along is…

H Penny! Congratulations, I hope you really enjoy your fabulous necklace!  We wanna see pics!!

oooh, I love this bracelet. It brings to mind kayaking and canoe trips, and the smooth rocks of Georgian Bay. What a great etsy shop – I’m planning some great gifts from there now that I’ve seen her stuff (and I may even give some of those gifts to others – or maybe just treat myself! ** wink, wink)

I want to thank everyone who entered, for your support of both IndieNorth and String Me Along! It is very sincerely appreciated!

And a very special thank you to Carol from String Me Along, who made this contest possible.  It’s been really fun!
